SANS Walk for Music

A fundraising walk for the Joanne Lowry Memorial Scholarship Fund

When: Saturday, June 8, 2024, 10 am - 12 noon
Pre-walk festivities begin at 9 am for coffee & refreshments and some kick-off music before we head out at 10:00.

Where: Walk along Arlington’s Minuteman Bike Path, from Spy Pond Park to Magnolia Park and back (approximately 2 miles). We’ll start and finish at Calvary Methodist Church, 300 Mass Ave, Arlington, MA.

Who: Anyone can be a walker - SANS singers, alumni and friends are all welcome! Scholarship recipients are strongly encouraged to participate.

How to raise money: We’ll provide walkers with a paper pledge sheet, online donation link, and a sample email you can customize to send to family and friends to support your Walk.

How we’ll make it fun: We’ll sing at the start, middle and end of the Walk, and probably along the way, too! We’ll carry our SANS banner, wear our SANS T-shirts, and (hopefully) engage with folks all along the bike path. Walkers are welcome to bring instruments to play along the way. We’re currently recruiting a special guest to serve as our “Grand Marshal.”
